How did The Lipstick Mafia begin?

I had been working in the cosmetic-retail industry for about 7 years when it struck me, why would you want to learn about makeup or get glammed in a department store? All those strangers around you, dirty used testers, rude sales assistants....forget that. Where else better to get the ultimate glam treatments than your own home or hotel room! It's private, hygienic and honest!

I spent years training with some of the worlds biggest cosmetic brands and was sick of the lies and tricks they we're using to get sales and services out of people. A majority of the time you don't need half of what you purchased from the woman who knew just as much (if not less) than you about that eye cream or lipstick.

The way I see it, knowledge is key in the cosmetics industry, especially when you want to figure out how to look and feel your best! You can watch as many YouTube tutorials and look under as many hashtags on instagram as you want but getting the Kim Kardashian smoky eye isn't the same for everyone. It's about learning what works best for you, your face, your lifestyle and your budget!

What products do you use?

A even mix of drug store and high end cosmetic products, tools and brushes are used. We don't discriminate but some of our favourite brands are M.A.C, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Essence, Sedona Lace, L'Oreal and Maybelline.  

 

What is The Lipstick Mafia VIP Sit-Down?  

It's totally hands on! It's the perfect mix of 50% education and 50% party! Enjoy a drink or two (...or three!) with your closest friends, sit down and do your makeup with us!

There is nothing worse than having a makeup artist give you all this information while their doing you makeup, throwing you a few tips and tricks and then a week later trying to recreate the look and ending up looking like the joker. Sometimes a specific technique might not work as well for you, sometimes your wallet doesn't allow you to purchase the same product that  your makeup artist raves about!

It's all about trial, error and experimentation. We sit down with you and do our makeup as well! With a fusion of demonstrations and personalized technique your guaranteed to find a glam method that suites you and only you! 

Although makeup, brushes and tools are provided we encourage you to bring your favorite beauty items; or ones that have been sitting at the bottom of your draw because you have no clue how to use it! This way you can recreate your look asap and incorporate it into your daily beauty routine.

The Lipstick Mafia VIP Sit-Down is an 18+ event. Proof of age is needed as alcohol is served. Non alcoholic options are provided. This service includes lashes. 
 
How do I book?
